SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb is the leading scientific and educational institution in the Republic of Croatia in the field of biomedicine and health, in the field of pharmacy. The Faculy educates masters of pharmacy who are a necessary link in the provision of health care, but are also holders of research, development and production of pharmaceutical products and preparations, one of the financially strongest research, development and industrial areas in Croatia (Smart Specialization Strategy 2016-2020), in the EU and globally. The Faculty successfully conducts integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in pharmacy and medical biochemistry, postgraduate doctoral and 6 specialist studies. There is great interest in the study of pharmacy, and according to the analysis of the ASHE, it is enrolled by high school students with the highest results of the state matura/graduation. The doctoral study is a holder of a high level of quality. The faculty has the appropriate equipment for teaching and research, and is making significant efforts to continuously improve the infrastructure. Despite numerous inquiries, a relatively small number of foreign students achieved incoming mobility at the Faculty. The reason for this is the insufficient number of subjects in English.
The Pharma5.0 project will result in a high-quality contemporary study of pharmacy in English. The study of pharmacy in English will improve the development of the academic community and the pharmaceutical profession in the Republic of Croatia.
MAIN OBJECTIVE:
The goal of the Pharma5.0 project is to develop high-quality modern study of pharmacy in English, strengthen the language competencies of staff, create didactic material and promote the study. The introduction of the proposed study program lays the foundation for long-term internationalization.
