STEM Academy

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The target group of the project are NGOs that want to contribute to the popularisation of the STEM area among children and young people, i. e. the project’s end users.

By organising STEM workshops, a STEM festival and one-day events and by creating online content the children and young people will be given an opportunity to develop STEM skills, get acquainted with new and innovative learning methods and ways to make discoveries and reach results in STEM.

Through project activities impact will be made on the end users and the community, with a special emphasis on:

• enhancing competences for the 21st century society
• encouraging logical and mathematical intelligence
• encouraging digital and technological literacy
• increasing self-confidence
• empowering NGOs which plan to implement STEM programmes

The project also empowers the youth as the end users in the context of positioning themselves on the labour market and mastering practical life skills, nurtures the sustainability principle and indirectly enhances the competences of the parents to use educational technologies.

MAIN OBJECTIVE:

The main objective of the project is to popularise STEM among children and young people by conducting activities aimed at strengthening the capacities of NGOs and establishing cooperation with partners from the academia.
